Martin Cobin, born 1920. Lived a full life prior to retirement as a theater professor and social activist. Enjoyment of life includes one wife, four children, five grandchildren, and five-plus great-grandchildren. Seriously commited to poetry at age 80, since then he's self-published, has been published, and accepted the challenge of creating his own audience. Poetry, for him, is primarily oral expression and communication. Currently, he reads one, on occasion two, of his poems every month (since September 2001) on KGNU, a community radio station in Colorado and is in the fourth year of doing hourly poetry reading programs at three retirement communities.
